Hawaiian Carissa Moore took home the second stage of the 2020-2021 World Surfing Tour after stealing the final against local Australian Isabella Nichols at the Rip Curl Newcastle Pro held in Merewether today, Saturday, April 10.

The Hawaiian's strong frontside attack on fun, but also challenging, one-meter waves was decisive for the victory,

Moore had won by more than 7 points against Caroline Marks in the semis and in the grand final she left no chance.

Yesterday, Friday, she did an aerial that set a precedent for what is possible in women's surfing.
