Carlos Muñoz and Daniella Rosas were the big winners of the Hispanic American Surf Awards

The best chose the best and they were announced in an unprecedented live broadcast


Carlos Muñoz and Daniella Rosas were the big winners of the second edition of the Latin American surfing awards, in which the best surfers in Latin America voted for the best.

The Costa Rican won the best surfer category for the second consecutive year (last year he had tied with Miguel Tudela) and also took home the best small wave surfer and best aerialist divisions.

Meanwhile, the Peruvian gold medalist in Lima 2019 won the award for  the best surfer and the best junior.

Another who took home a good share of awards was tube and big rider Álvaro Malpartida, who won best big wave surfer in 2019 (along with Cristian Merello) and best free surfer.

The most overwhelming victories were in men with Cali Muñoz winning with more than 55% of the votes, SUP Surf Ladies in which Vania Torres won with 79% of the votes, Longboard with Piccolo Clemente winning more than 50%, women's aerials with Analí Gómez winning by more than 50%, women's longboard with Mafer Reyes winning with 68,4% of the votes.

For this year's edition, 70 of the best surfers on the continent were in charge of voting, men and women of different ages and different countries, as detailed in the following paragraph:
