Carlos Muñoz came out of the operation well

She underwent surgery in Newport Beach, California, performed by WSL doctor Warren Kramer.

The first Costa Rican male member of the CT in the history of surfing, Carlos Muñoz, came out well from the operation, he himself reported on his social networks last night, Thursday.

A tick next to “shoulder surgery” and a smile in one of his two photos was what indicated Muñoz’s post-op status.

The Costa Rican added: “Thank you all for your prayers, I couldn't have been in better hands, thank you Dr. Warren Kramer.”

Kramer is a team doctor for the WSL and the U.S. Olympic team.

Muñoz also thanked the WSL for “the support to get back on track” and concluded with a “Yaweh is good.”

In the second photo he is seen with his manager, Gustavo Duccini, and with Dr. Kramer.

They did not report how long it will take for the Costa Rican to recover. Initially, he reported that he will miss the Sunset event and Portugal.

Muñoz was injured during the Billabong Pipe Pro, in his round 3 heat when he beat Portuguese Frederico Morais.
