Carlos and Brisa made it to round 3 at the Sunset CT
The Ticos started off on the right foot in the second half of the year
Brisa Hennessy and Carlos Muñoz have placed themselves in the qualifying zone in their debut of stage 2 of the CT, the Hurley Pro, which is currently being held in Sunset Beach, Hawaii.
The Costa Rican dominated her series, finding two forehands with scoring potential, leaving Sally Fitzgibbons in second place and Isabella Nichols in third.
Now, Hennessy will face Sally Fitzgibbons again.
Meanwhile, Carlos Muñoz had a strong, active and consistent series but left the door open for Nat Young to overtake him on his final wave.
The final score was:
Ethan Ewing in first with 12,43, Carlos Muñoz in second with 8,30 and Nat Young in third with 7,77.
Muñoz now awaits an opponent for the round of 32. This is the second tournament that the Costa Rican has managed to get into this stage. In Pipe he had to go through the elimination round in which he finished second.
