The 13th edition of the Central American Games will take place in Guatemala and one of the disciplines will be surfing, according to the country's Olympic Committee and ASOSURF, the body that governs the sport in the country.

The multi-sport event will take place between October 18 and 30, 2025, with the date of surfing still pending.

Eduardo del Cid, member of ASOSURF, told DUKE that the disciplines that will be contested within the surfing sphere will be shortboard, longboard, bodyboard and SUP Race.

The last edition of the Games was held in El Salvador and also included a surfing event on the perfect right-hand side of Punta Roca.

According to the newspaper AS, the decision to host the games in Guatemala was made at an extraordinary meeting held on Saturday, November 30, in Guatemala City, attended by regional sports authorities.

Guatemala has already hosted these games in 1973, 1986, 2001 and jointly with Costa Rica and Honduras in 2006.
