Channel Island was the most voted surfboard brand in a survey of 7500 surfers
Lost and Pyzel completed the podium
Californian surfboard brand Channel Island was voted the most by 7500 Stab readers who participated in a survey that the website published last week.
The podium was completed by Lost/Mayhem in second place, Pyzel in third and JS Industries in fourth.
The top 10 is then completed by Album, Sharp Eye, DHD, Christienson, Firewire and Haydenshapes in that order.
The distribution of votes was as follows:
1st: Channel Island with 29,9%
2nd: Lost/Mayhem with 26,3%
3rd: Pyzel with 19,5%
4th: JS Industries with 15,6%
Furthermore, the survey asked what type of board they bought, and 40% answered high performance, which contrasts with the 17% of data provided by US Blanks to the same website.
The rest of the answers do point to a twin fin or one with more body and other "alternative" boards.
Interestingly, the reason why the audience buys a board is word of mouth, and the other high percentage is going to the local shaper.
