Charly Quivront attacked by a free surfer during the Sydney Pro series
"This is the memory I take with me from my debut in the Challengers," wrote the Frenchman on social media.
The French surfer was attacked yesterday by a free surfer during the Sydney Pro series, the first challenger of the year and in history that is taking place in Manly Beach.
There were eight minutes left in the series, Quivront was third, he lowered a right and accelerating from behind another regular footer appeared, accompanied him and then pushed him.
The Frenchman handled the situation quite well, finishing the wave with a good maneuver but he did not score enough points to continue in the event.
In his Instagram post he said: “It was a quick event in Manly and this is the memory I take away from my Challenger debut.”
