Chile made official its list of representatives for surfing in Santiago 2023
All the competitors in shortboard, longboard and SUP are now known in the second largest multi-sport event in the world

The Chilean surfing federation has just officially announced its representatives for the Santiago 2023 surfing event that will take place in Punta de Lobos between October 20 and November 5.
“After evaluating criteria under a metric that considered key international events, in addition to the evaluations in the concentrations that were carried out in the country, the following athletes were designated to represent our country in the waves of Punta de Lobos,” says the statement published on Instagram:
Short Table:
- Manuel Selman
- Jessica Anderson
- Estela Lopez
- Guillermo Satt
Longboard:
- Samantha Wilson
- Rafael Cortez
SUP Surfing:
- Gabriel Salazar
- Maria Jose Lagos
SUP Race:
- Carla Perez
- Ignacio Besa
Coaching staff:
- Shortboard Coach: Gerald Alvarez
- Longboard Coach: Francisco Véliz.
- Psychologist: Jaime Mestre.
"We are sure that all our athletes will give their best to represent Chile in the best way possible. We wish them all the best of luck," the statement concludes.
This closes the list of those who have qualified for Santiago 2023, which included the Pan American Games in Santa Catalina and the World Shortboard and Longboard Championships in El Salvador as qualifiers.
