Chilean Domi Charrier and that barrel she got in at Punta de Lobos on July 21 of this year placed her as the only Hispanic American, man or woman, who managed to reach the finals of the big wave awards of Surfer magazine.

Three surfers from around the world made it to the finals of the event in the big wave paddle-out category, Charrier alongside Corrie Gray for a wave at Waimea Bay and Katie McConnell for another at Todos Santos.

The news was shared by Surfer magazine itself on its website, where it mentioned all the nominees for what is the new version of the big wave awards.
