Australian Chippa Wilson was the big winner of the second edition of one of the most innovative surfing tournaments today, Stab High, which took place last Saturday at the BSR Park pool in Waco, Texas.

In the grand final he scored 42 (out of a possible 50) on the left, after completing a lien full rotation which he backed up with a 38 on the right which he achieved after completing a good shove it.

The victory earned the aerial specialist $25.000.

Kevin Schulz, who had performed an impressive back flip in freak peak mode the day before the event, was welcomed into the world of the best aerialists, adding to that maneuver a good performance in the tournament to place second.

The final results were the following:

Costa Rican Leon Glatzer had a good performance in his debut at the event, finishing 15th out of 24 surfers (nine places away from qualifying for the final) and left happier than ever: “It was the best event I’ve ever been to in my life, it was such a great honor to surf with the best in the world. These will be memories for a lifetime. I don’t think I’ve ever been so nervous in a tournament in my life, competing with my heroes and much more,” wrote the Pavones native on his Instagram.

The other big prize of the day, for the highest aerial, went to Cam Richards for this crazy stunt in which he rose almost two metres. The South Carolina native, who had just competed for the winter wave, pocketed $20.000 for an aerial in a pool.

As the event was cancelled at the end of the day due to bad weather, the $10.000 prize for Freak Peak went to Kevin Schulz for the stunt he had pulled the day before.
