Cleland and Mignot guaranteed their reclassification

Mexicans Alan Cleland and Marco Mignot won their round-of-32 heats at the Margaret River Pro, securing their place in the 2025 CT and entry into the 2026 tournament.
In a heavy sea in the main break, Cleland overcame Rio Waida and Mignot did the same with Joel Vaughan.
The result pushed them into the second half of the year and into CT 2026.
Now they will face Imaikalani Devault first and Jordy Smith second.

For her part, the Basque Country surfer Nadia Erostarbe did not have a good series against Erin Brooks and Lakey Peterson and was withdrawn from the event.
