Cleland and Mignot said goodbye to Bells in the round of 32

They couldn't beat Fioravanti and O'Leary respectively; now the Gold Coast stage is coming up.

Mexicans Alan Cleland and Marco Mignot bowed out in the round of 32 of the Bells CT, which played its third day today in fun waves at the Winkipop alternative location.

Mignot went first against Connor O'Leary, who gave a good demonstration of backside surfing to score 13,43, which was close to the Mexican's 12,33.

For his part, Cleland achieved a series of high scores, marking 14,1, which was surpassed by Leo Fioravanti's 14,7.

In the live ranking, Mignot dropped two places, from 15th to 17th, and Cleland remains at 21st.

The next leg of the tour is on Australia's Gold Coast, May 3-13.
