Californian Cole Houshmand secured his spot in CT 2024 today after advancing through his round of 64 series at the US Open and achieving at least a 25th in the tournament.

With this, Houshmand is guaranteed 22400 points, making it impossible for 10 other surfers to surpass him; that is, he will definitely be in the top 10 that qualify for the first division of world surfing.

Houshmand's campaign this year started badly, finishing last in the Gold Coast stage but then he took two stage wins, Narrabeen and Ballito, with which he earned 20.700 points which, added to the 1700 he achieved today, sealed his passport.

The tall Californian had had some expressive results but nothing like this year, which in just a few weeks became the best of his career.

Houshmand was a junior medalist at the ISA World Championships and also a team champion with the US team.
