Isabella Gómez, Margarita Conde, Giorgio Gómez, Simón Salazar, Jeferson and Anderson Tascón are the preselected to compete in the ISA World Surfing Games that will take place between May 29 and June 6 in the waves of La Bocana and El Sunzal, El Salvador, the country's federation reported in a statement.

The two ladies are guaranteed to make the team and the four men will have to fight for their spot at the event site on May 18 and 19.

“Once the check-up is completed, the final Colombian surfing team will be formed to face the 2021 ISA World Championship and only the winners will enter the concentration, following the biosecurity protocols established by the event organizers,” says the statement signed by the president of the federation Andrés Porras and the secretary Pierre López.

In addition, it was decided that the technical staff for the date would be made up of Jesús Capote as technical director and Andrés Valencia as assistant.

The Gomez brothers, as seen on their social media, are already in El Salvador training for the event accompanied by coach Capote. The rest of the team is expected to arrive in mid-May for the event.
