Colombian Izzi Gómez got a hit in Jaws that she shared on her social media a few hours ago.
“This has been a goal of mine since I started surfing Jaws. I will remember this wave forever,” she wrote. She also thanked Shaun Lopez who encouraged her to surf it as a tow in.
In the comments she receives more than one congratulatory greeting from Lucas Chumbo, Paige Alms, Johanne Defay, Bronte Macaulay and Pato Texeira, among others.
Izzi Gomez started surfing at Jaws in 2019 and has been climbing the ladder on those waves in a solid way, paddling out big ones and also landing barrels.
