Conor Donegan and David Pérez won the Quemao Class

Locals from the Canary Islands won the 9th edition of the North Atlantic Pipe Masters

Canary Islanders Conor Donegan and David Pérez won the title of champions of the classic tube tournament, the Quemao Class, which has just concluded after two days of barreling in the Quemao surf break.

Donegan beat former event champion Joan Duru, who started his final series with a perfect 10, but the local's sum of 9 and 9,3 was higher than the Frenchman's 10 + 7,5.

The crowd went wild with the victory of the young local, Donegan, 20, who has experience in the heavy waves of his island, Lanzarote.

Adur Amatriain finished third and Yago Domínguez fourth, in what was one of the most Spanish finals in recent years of the event.

David Pérez, another Canary Islander from Tenerife, dominated his final series with a 9, 17 and a 6.

He left the legendary Pierre Louise Costes in second place, Alex Uranga in third, and Ruymana Rey in fourth.

Both finals had a Spaniard winning, a Frenchman second, and two Spaniards in third and fourth.
