Cosoleto and Martino won SUP Surf

Argentina's Lucía Cosoleto and Peru's Tamil Martino won the SUP Surf category of the South American Junior Championship in their respective categories, giving Argentina its second gold and Peru its fifth. Of the 10 medals already determined, the event has been awarded.

The waves were small but with very perfect head-high breaking sets and maintaining good conditions all day.

Cosoleto won against one of her main rivals, Vania Torres, and earned her first South American title, as this is the division's debut in the event.

Meanwhile, Tamil Martino won a series that featured high action and also tight interference calls, especially near the end.

Gabriel Salazar, who showed good form and was second, was on a long wave where he crossed paths with the Peruvian who had priority and the judges called interference.

This brought Argentina's Geronimo Rogers to second place, and Colombian José Ignacio Tapia to third. Salazar placed fourth.
