Brisa Hennessy just won her pivotal series against Lakey Peterson and guaranteed herself a spot in the WSL Grand Finals for the first time in her career.

Only the Californian could get Brisa out of the race and in a series with few waves, she managed to get the best score to get into the semis. There was a crucial wave that made the difference in favor of Hennessy in which she dropped and got stuck in the tube late, staying far behind, but an impeccable technique allowed her to go through the foamball and get out after the spit.

Hennessy was emotional in the interview, thanked Costa Rica and left to prepare for the semis in which she will face local standout, Vahine Fierro.

The order of the matches is yet to be determined because it depends on the ranking that will be decided today in Teahupoo. It is already known that Carisa Moore will be number one, the one who will have to be beaten in the fourth match.

The five who qualified for the finals are Moore, Johanne Defay, Tatiana Weston Webb, Stephanie Gilmore and Brisa.

We will expand.
