Costa Rican Ethan Hollander selected to compete in NSSA primes
With this, it becomes part of the United States Olympic development program.

Young Costa Rican surfer Ethan Hollander was granted one of the few competition spots in the Prime events of the National Scholastic Surfing Association (NSSA), he himself reported in an Instagram post.
Being part of these events also means that Hollander will be part of the beginning of the Olympic cycle of the U.S. committee, and will have a training format directed by former CT Brett Simpson.
“Since I started competing in the NSSA in the United States, one of my goals was to qualify for the premier events and be part of the Olympic development team and today I received the invitation to take that first step,” Hollander wrote.
His long-time coach, former pro Diego Naranjo, wrote on Instagram: “'Sooner or later discipline will beat talent', this phrase has always been and will continue to be my motivation in life and in sports and it is something I always try to instill in my students. I want to congratulate Ethan Hollander for this important achievement.”
According to his post, Hollander will be traveling to California in the coming weeks to begin this new cycle.
