Costa Rican Josymar Fuentes was invited to the international invitational tournament that will take place in Jeffreys Bay, South Africa between June 14 and 23, and to which legends such as Steph Gilmore and Mark Occhilupo have been invited.

Fuentes announced the invitation on his Instagram and is currently traveling to South Africa.

“I have always believed in myself and I know that good deeds attract good things, but I never imagined being invited to one of the most incredible events in the world like the JBay Classic,” Josymar wrote on his Instagram.

He added: “It is a real honor for me to represent Central America at this incredible event. I believe I am the only Latino invited to this kind of incredible event thanks to the WSL, Corona and Ekwekumandela.”

“Good attracts good! Give a helping hand to others without expecting anything in return because God takes care of everything else. Thank God we are going to have fun,” concluded the goofy footer.

Josymar will compete against the following surfers in an event that will have a first round in which everyone surfs several times on twin fin and thruster and then the best wave on each board is added to define the semifinalists who will then compete in Brackets format.
