Daniel Olmos is now a star of a Colombian reality show
The surfer was selected for the team of famous athletes and shines in the demanding national program

Colombian surfer Daniel Olmos, ranked eighth in last year's ALAS ranking, is in the process of becoming not only the most famous surfer in Colombia but also one of the most famous Colombians, since last month the surfer has been a member of the national reality show called Exatlón.
Daniel joined the program with trainer and model Melissa Peláez to replace two participants who had to leave the program. Apparently the effort to be made in the program is great since one of those who left fractured a knee.
"I decided to come because these opportunities rarely come along and above all to show the children of Colombia and the surfers that through sport you can do good things and get ahead," said the Barranquilla local in a note on the RCN channel that broadcasts the program.
The reality show, based on the format of a Turkish television program, consists of a sports competition between two teams in which they have to face challenges and show their sports skills. On one side is the team of celebrities made up of sports celebrities (to which Olmos joined). On the other side is the team of contenders made up of high-performance athletes such as wrestlers, personal trainers and Crossfit trainers. Each team has 11 participants.
The show takes place in the Dominican Republic where all the members live and are filmed 24 hours a day. Exatlón Colombia began airing at the end of April this year on RCN, so the Colombian surfer is being part of the first season.
