The first day of Olympic surfing in Paris 2024 took place in good waves of four to six feet and with good conditions all day long.

The best in the world had to deal with a sea that was at times inconsistent but at other times also remained active and sent one tube after another.

Shino Matsuda had a good series, scoring 11 points, but Carissa Moore was better and scored 16.

Alonso stands out at Teahupoo and excelled in his series.
Sol Aguirre did not get into the rhythm in her series and was relegated to the repechage.
Teresa Bonvalot could have won several of the series that went into the water with her 10 points, but she had to face Carissa and Shino
