Day 4 of the Pan American Games concludes, Peru leads by a narrow margin

The Peruvian surfing team concluded the fourth day of the PASA Games Guatemala 2025 Pan American Surf Festival in first place in the partial team rankings, narrowly ahead of Argentina, Puerto Rico, and Panama, in that order.
In their best-case scenario, the Inka Team could achieve 17905 points, the Argentines 17705, the Puerto Ricans 17205, and the Panamanians 16910.
The Peruvians could have been higher, but their scores were affected by the defeat of two of their open men's competitions and the two fourth-place finishes they achieved in bodyboarding.
However, the team that is the favorite, having already won several Pan American Games, has the rest of its entire team still in the running.
As previously reported, Brazil, the champion of the last three Pan American Games, is missing six men's open titles and two SUP Surfers, which will make it very difficult for them to repeat.
Guatemala remains in fifth place in the rankings, and if they maintain their result, they would achieve their first top-five finish in the history of their Pan American Games.
