Deivid Silva and Alyssa Spencer won in Portugal, they were on the verge of CT 2024

Brazilian Deivid Silva and American Alyssa Spencer won the fifth challenger of the year and entered the qualifying zone for the 2024 CT with only one stage left on the calendar.
Silva beat Jake Marshall in the grand final and Spencer did the same to Luana Silva in the perfect but inconsistent forehands that broke Ribeira D'Ilhas.
The result only guaranteed one more surfer in the CT 2024, the Australian Sally Fitzgibbons, who by placing fifth and with the rest of the results that occurred, became the first lady to qualify through the Challenger Series to the CT.
Fitzgibbons returns to the tour after half a year away and joins Cole Houshmand and Jacob Willcox as the only guaranteed starters.
Of the 10 men and five women who will qualify, there are still eight and four places respectively still available.
