Special coverage presented by Surf City - El Salvador Travel 

A powerful storm raged through El Salvador, whipping up strong winds and pouring down torrential rain, making even the most optimistic among us doubt that Punta Roca would be ready for CT surfing today. But, defying all predictions, the waves were epic, and five sets were completed.

The men's quarterfinals were determined, and they were as follows:
