DUKE Challenge Hawaii 2025 presented by Ale Zaid and Tizi Billy Premm

With five local heavyweights leading these heavy metal waves that are hosting surfing at the Central American Games

Hawaii has several special charms, one of which is that the peak venues are located right in the vicinity of the Maya Jade Hotel, where the surfing competition for the Central American Games takes place.

And, contrary to what many might think about the word "locals," this is the coolest group of guys on the planet. Always willing to share a good surf chat, a few jokes, and a surf session, of course... To share their everyday waves.

The place is small and the exchange of ideas is great.

It seemed obvious that, in addition to friendship, a championship had to emerge, a prize to encourage and showcase the talent of these young Guatemalans from Rosario or Hawaii, who are so cool.

Thus a second DUKE event emerged, the first having been at La Bocanita (see below).

Alejandra Zaid and Tiziana Billy Premm supported the idea from the beginning. With the best vibes on the planet, sharing the spirit that must prevail when organizing something like this, prizes as grand as a surfboard (thanks to Genesis Borja, who donated it) appeared, and a beautiful event was put together.

The task was to go into the water for 25 minutes and award prizes for the best wave, the best maneuver, the best wipeout, and, melted by the dedication of one of the competitors, the dedication was also awarded.

Thus, the winners were:

Award for delivery: Max Steven

Best Wipeout Award: Jairo Carrillo

Best overall performance: Axel García

Everything that is important about surfing was left over: Smiles, camaraderie, waves surfed and good vibes.
