The eight longboarders who made it to Round 3 through the main event of the Surf City El Salvador ISA World Longboard Championship are now close to qualifying for the World Beach Games to be held in Bali in August.
14 surfers qualify through this event and, considering that a maximum of one goes per country, those who get close to the top 20 are on the verge of qualifying for the giant tournament.
For example, Sindy Portillo from El Salvador, who made it to round 3 of the main event, and who has no other surfer from her country in the event, is already getting closer to said classification, in addition to the one she already obtained “provisionally” for Santiago 2023 (which she can obtain for this event and leave her place already obtained in the Pan American Games in Panama 2023).
These are the eight surfers who are already in round 3, undefeated in the event:

On the other hand, in the men's repechage Surfiel Gil from Argentina had the best performance of his round, scoring 12,24; another who stood out in the round was Amado de Jesús Alvarado, from El Salvador.
Some countries that saw their first loggers eliminated were Germany, Guatemala, American Samoa, Colombia, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Great Britain, Iran and Puerto Rico.
In the women's repechage, the best performance was by Akiko Kitamura of Japan, while Raquel Bento of Portugal and Marcela Gonzalez of Colombia also stood out.
Surfers from Italy, Guam and Spain were left out of the event at that stage.
At team level, there are 16 countries that still have all their athletes still alive in the event:
