Australian Ethan Ewing became the first winner of the Style Matters tournament, organised by the Vissla brand, which awarded $10.000 to the best style in the world.

Ewing was chosen over Gerry Lopez, Craig Anderson, Thomas Campbell, Kai Neville and Brad Gerlach which left the standings as follows:

1st: Ethan Ewing
2nd: Tosh Tudor
3rd: Stephanie Gilmore
4th: Jordy Smith
5th: Ryan Augenstein
