The world longboard title is very likely to be decided tomorrow in El Sunzal, reported Bryan Robbins, competition director of WSL North America and Surf City El Salvador WSL World Longboard Championships.
According to the forecast, he stated that the event is off and that: “We have a new swell growing today, with a long period, so it will come in slowly but I think we'll see it this afternoon, before nightfall. I hope we wake up and it's a bit bigger, more consistent; with these same conditions, that would be fantastic.”
“So that’s the call: Tomorrow at 7 AM, and then Friday is a good backup if this long slump lasts a little longer. It would shorten then, and we’d see some fantastic waves again on Friday, but I like tomorrow,” he added.
Surfline shows good conditions for tomorrow, an increase in swell and period, and also good conditions for the afternoon.
