The legendary Carlos Cabrero, who is almost 50, and his daughter, Havanna, who is just shy of 20, won the first stage of the national tour of Puerto Rico.

As Cabrero himself wrote on his Instagram: "What an incredible moment, I feel super proud to be able to win the first stop of the federation's national surfing circuit together with my daughter Havanna. This is a historic moment in the sport. Thank you all for the congratulations."

Carlos, the first Latino to win at Pipe, in 2000, in a HIC Pro final where he beat Andy Irons, is now virtually retired from competition, but he gets into the water and takes on anyone.

This is how the family victory on the island of enchantment was achieved.
