Filipe's late drop to the tube at Teahupoo
The best memory that the current world champion seems to have taken from his first Olympic training of the year
Reigning world champion Filipe Toledo took part in a training camp at Teahupoo, the surfing venue for Paris 2024.
A comfortable late drop into a deep barrel on a wave that was small by Teahupoo standards seems to be the Brazilian's best memory of the Olympic wave.
Toledo spent time with Joao Chianca, CBS coach Paulo Moura and the CT band he hadn't seen since Hawaii, when he missed the event due to food poisoning and then decided not to compete for the rest of the year.
The reigning world champion has yet to announce whether he will return to Teahupoo to train.
Olympic surfing dates may extend between July 27 and August 5.
