Filipe: “That one hurt a little because I knew it was a theoretically easy drum kit”
“There were two waves where I could have gone, but with the sea rising I was waiting for that wave and ended up not finding it,” explained the Brazilian about his series.

Two-time world champion Filipe Toledo addressed his fans explaining that his defeat against Reo Inaba “hurt a little knowing that it was a theoretically easy set,” he said on the Instagram of his news website ft77news.
“There were two waves I could have gone on, but with the sea rising I waited for that wave and ended up not finding it, I fell on the other one, broke the board, the jet ski ate the leash and I couldn't go on, but anyway, that's how it is,” added the Brazilian in his statement.
And he concluded: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart, we are together, we are going to cheer for the Brazilians and we are moving forward, I am happy to have participated in these Olympics, it is an incredible feeling and I am going to focus now on the future, 2025 is coming, the World Cup is coming back soon and we are going to make everyone uncomfortable.”
After having the best performance of his career at Teahupoo on Sunday, Toledo failed to repeat yesterday and fell to Inaba by 6 versus 2,46.
The Brazilian broke his board and experienced some tense moments after one of the jet skis got stuck on the reef.
