Filipe Toledo confirmed that he will be in the CT of Kelly's pool

He chose to take care of himself for that stage rather than finishing his participation in the ISA World Surfing Games.

Current CT ranking leader Filipe Toledo has confirmed that he will be competing in the eighth stage of the CT, the Freshwater Pro, which will take place at the Slater pool between 19 and 21 September.

In a video posted on YouTube by FMA News, the Brazilian explains: “We decided to bring forward my return to at least have one more day of treatment in California to be able to go to the Surf Ranch at 100%,” says Toledo, who also explains that the decision was made in conjunction with the Brazilian Surfing Confederation and the Brazilian Olympic Committee.

“I hope I can have a good campaign at the Surf Ranch and that this small injury is just a scare,” he concluded, sending a hug to all his followers.

Speaking to DUKE in Japan, Toledo said after coming out of the water in his series win over Shun Murakami and Rio Waida that he was feeling the pain and would see what he would do.

The next day he did not show up for his series.

Toledo said he felt no pressure and was calm.

He is in the same situation he was in last year, first in the rankings and facing the last tournaments of the year.
