Filipe Toledo guaranteed himself a place in the WSL finals

With two full stages still to be completed, the Brazilian has already done enough to be in the mix for the 2022 world title

By making it to the quarter-finals and with the 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th ranked players eliminated from the Brazilian leg of the CT, current leader of the rankings, Filipe Toledo, has guaranteed his spot in the WSL Finals taking place in September at Lower Trestles.

She is the first of 10 surfers (five women and five men) who will compete in a single day of competition for this year's world title.

The news was released by the WSL during the live broadcast of the event; in an interview, Toledo was surprised by the news and was speechless, declaring that he was happy and that it was the first goal he had set for himself.

Then the Brazilian remained meditating with cameras filming, with his eyes closed.

The top 5 of the rankings will be shaken up after Brazil, Jack Robinson, Griffin Colapinto, Kanoa Igarashi, Ethan Ewing, John John and Barron Mamiya were not present.

This opened the door for Italo Ferreira to improve, for Callum Robson, Connor O'Leary and Miguel and Samuel Pupo to come closer.
