Filipe for the title: He took this bomb in Teahupoo today
He's been in Tahiti for a week preparing for the seventh CT. He also left a nice piece of meat on the reef.
Instead of surfing small waves in preparation for the US Open, or relaxing with his family in California or Brazil, the current leader of the rankings, Filipe Toledo, went all out to Teahupoo, the venue for the seventh stage of the world surfing circuit, and dropped the bombshell photo he shared on Instagram.
He also left a good piece of meat on the reef (see second photo) which he showed in the stories on the same social network.
It is well known that Filipe has been criticized for not standing out in the left-wing parties and this move clearly shows his interest in reversing this situation, imitating, if you will, what Adriano de Souza did in 2015.
Apparently the Brazilian has been in Chopes for a week now and he also managed to get other good tubes like these:

Last year at the Fiji Pro, in his round 2 heat against Ethan Ewing, both surfers were heavily criticized by well-known commentator and former pro surfer, Strider Wasilewski because neither of them seemed to want anything to do with Chopes' bombs.
Toledo has not made it past round 2 at Chopes since 2015, when he achieved his best result by reaching round 5.
It remains to be seen whether the Brazilian will be able to compete in one of his most successful events, the US Open, which has already begun in Huntington Beach, California, and is expected to have small waves.
