Australian Sally Fitzgibbons won gold at the world championships in El Salvador after a very consistent final series, choosing the waves well and attacking them with radicalism.
She added 14,1, which was far superior to Yolanda Sequeira from Portugal who made 9,20, Teresa Bonvalot, also from Portugal, who added 9,04, and Daniella Rosas from Peru who added 5,26.
The Peruvian had an excellent championship and won her first medal at a World Surfing Games.
