Five controversial waves so far this season in the northern hemisphere

Was it Covid? Social media? The end of 2020? It's been a while since there was so much talk about stolen waves

If there is something that has been left over this season in the northern hemisphere, in addition to The incredible performances of the veterans, it's a lot of talk about stolen waves, or riding waves, who was right, who was wrong, what should have happened, etc.

More than ever, a topic that remains part of the day-to-day life of the waves, from the Pipe Masters until last week, the "stolen waves" were on the table.

Below is a review:

First place: Tatiana and Moana

In undisputed first place is the meeting of Pipe local Moana Jones with CT member Tatiana Weston Webb, half Hawaiian and half Brazilian.

The local reported the incident on social media, argued with Tatiana on the beach, and the incident received huge coverage on social media.

Tatiana said she didn't see her.

Second place: Koa Rothman and an unfortunate unknown

Rothman had said on social media, in a post he later deleted, that he was going to beat anyone at Pipe this year and that there was only a select group of people he would let surf his waves.

He did what he said and beyond some comments, no one messed with the local who is also the son of Fast Eddie, one of the heaviest Hawaiians.

The wave in question ended up being nominated for the wave of the winter and is competing in the Hawaiian Triple Crown.

Third place: Kelly to John John at the Pipe Masters

From a distance, she looked like just another one of the jerks who had been unable to beat JJF in their series.

There was controversy and Slater had to explain that they had agreed that there would be a "party wave" if John left him without a chance. He even posted photos of the Hawaiian laughing at seeing Kelly go.

Whatever the case, everyone knows that Slater wanted to take the hit and also, everyone knows that John John is better than Lassie and let the best in history do one more of his.

Fourth place: Jamie O'Brien to John John

Jamie is like an older brother to John John and like a good older brother he continues to make him pay the price of his age.

It doesn't matter that he already has two world titles and a Pipe Masters, Jamie goes and does it and John John stays quiet.

Fifth place: From Mexico, Jacob meets a local in La Punta

In his spot, the locals rule. Jacob Szekely went to La Punta to try some acid drops and, as he told Stab, on the third complete attempt this local told him to stop doing that.

Szekely apologized, was thrown out of the water and left. On the way to shore he met up with the local, they became friends and he was able to surf some more, he said in the interview that the aforementioned website did about the fight.
