From winning the toughest big wave events to pro youth tournaments, surfing tubes in remote places, feeling present sharing simple moments with family and friends and a lot of other things, appear as the goals of five of the main exponents of the Vissla team in Latin America.
The answers come from a very diverse group of human beings: Gabriel Villarán, who is a big rider but competes in big waves as well as in small waves; Jonathan Gubbins, who is a free surfer by religion; Isauro Elizondo, who is a junior and is going all out to be the first Panamanian in the CT; Fede Pilurzu, who from the relaxation of Tamarindo worries about the balance of things and getting good tubes; and Andro Crvik, who studies, works, and rules the most mutant slabs and waves in his home and the rest of the world.
This is how everyone wants their 2020 to be:
GABRIEL VILLARÁN (in the cover photo)
1: This year I want to surf as many big wave events as possible (Ceremonial, Pico Alto, Puerto Escondido, Punta Galea, Itacaré, etc.) and win at least one, so I can fight for a spot at the Jaws event.
2: I will also surf some QS events to maintain my participation in the Volcom Pipe Pro, which is my favorite event.
3: Almost four years after I broke my left tibia at Pipe, I'm only now feeling close to 100%. I'm going to take advantage of that feeling to continue with the mission of surfing good events and legendary sessions.
4: 2020 is going to be a luxury year.

ISAURO ELIZONDO
1. Win a WSL Pro Junior.
2. Be the national champion of Panama in the Junior category.
3. Take a trip to the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii for unforgettable experiences.
4. Place in the top 10 of the Pro Junior ranking in the North American region.
5. Being able to continue with my studies since they are very important.

JONATHAN GUBBINS
My goals are always to improve what has been done before.
1: I want to hit Teahupo'o hard by paddling and towing.
2: Skeleton Bay: Keep going on that streak to this beach that is one of the most demanding and technical tube riding there is.
3) Travel within Peru in search of new tubes. Apart from testing equipment and boards in my country for Skeleton Bay.
4) Kandui. The most challenging wave in Indo and if I can add Desert or Green Bush for good measure.
5) And if possible, go to Pipe in February, in a big swell to get that Hawaii adrenaline. I hope it will be a great year, better than 2019.

FEDERICO PILURZU
For me, 2020 is a special year. I feel that it is the beginning of a decade and a new era in which many people are awakening to global consciousness and rapid personal evolution.
My main purpose is to enjoy and be present in every moment that life offers me.
My goals for this year are:
1: Find the best swells and be in my best physical and mental condition.
2: Organize the second edition of La Senda Music Festival @lasendamusicfestival, where music, art, nature, and personal evolution are celebrated on March 20-21.
3: Travel to some remote and magical place
4: Continue working on creating unforgettable experiences at my family's hotel, Cala Luna @calalunahotel
5: Sharing good times with my family and close friends.
ANDRO CRVIK

1: To be able to finish my university, I am studying business and that is my first goal in life: To be a professional.
2: Go to Chile in May for the QS World Championship, then go to Arica and if possible, then go to Mexico.
3: I want to go to Indonesia and the Philippines, I want to do that trip again and if possible go to California.
4: But I have several goals, I have big projects in mind, but I don't know if they can all be done because you never know, and the way things are in Chile right now, they're not very good, you never know.
5: One of my goals is to continue with Vissla, to be here in Australia, always surfing, working and studying at the same time. That's the project.
