Five more surfers were confirmed for the Tahiti Pro trials

Benji Brand, Jack Robinson, Koa Rothman, Cam Richards, Nathan Florence and previously announced Lucas Chianca have been confirmed as WSL selected competitors to take part in the Tahiti Pro trials taking place August 15-18 at Teahupoo.

The competition will have 32 surfers, two of whom will be in the main event, one of whom will be local and the other a foreigner.

The full list has not yet been released, and it is expected that the winner of the 2017 trials, Aritz Aranburu, will be on it. He is in Tahiti waiting to be invited.

It was also reported that the replacements for John John, Mikey Wright and Leo Fioravanti will be Matahi Drollet, Frederico Morais and Caio Ibelli.
