"There are many factors involved in getting a good surf shot in the water. Anticipation, location, composition, etc., and more etc. that must be decided in seconds. But when it turns out well, the feeling is very gratifying. That's why it becomes an addiction for me," writes Madalengoitia, who has spent this week filming the pros from the water during their free surfing sessions.

Jose Madalengoitia is Peruvian and has made several films in his career as a surfing filmmaker. One of the chapters of the well-known Cuentos del Mar was filmed in El Salvador.
