The French team claimed another triumph at the ISA World Surfing Games, their second historic one since they won in Biarritz 2017.
The victory was a close one, and it was decided in the grand finale, where Joan Duru took first place and Jeremy Flores third. If Kanoa Igarashi and Hiroto Ohhara had won, the story would have been different.
This is how the team classification was:
1: France: 3566
2: Japan: 3421
3: Portugal: 3125
4: Peru 2748
5: Australia 2523
The Peruvian team, which started the day in third place, suffered from two early defeats by Miguel Tudela (who finished eighth) and Lucca Mesinas (who finished seventh).
Then, the fact that the two Portuguese women reached the final and finished second and third played against them.
It is, in any case, a new podium for the Inka Team, which continues to establish itself as one of the strongest nations in world surfing.
