Colombian adaptive surfer Freddy Marimón Blanco is already planning a historic surfing session in Teahupoo that will take place in 2020, the president of the Colombian federation, Andrés Porras, informed DUKE.

A message posted today on Instagram by journalist Mateo Rojas showed Kelly saying: “I can’t wait to see you surfing Teahupoo, I know that’s the goal now, go with Raimana, he’ll take care of you while you get a good tube.”

Rojas, producer of the Freddy documentary and also of the recent adventure that took the Colombian to Slater's pool, was in Japan talking with Kelly about the next mission.

The same message was later reposted by local himself, Raimana Van Bastolaer.

According to Porras, Freddy is already preparing physically for the challenge,  practicing jet skiing, freediving and improving everything necessary to face one of the heaviest waves in the world with just one hand.

Freddy Marimón is 14 years old and is the current world champion in the AS-5 category of the International Surfing Association's adapted world championship. Of his four limbs, only his right arm has fully developed.

This has not stopped him from traveling the world surfing all kinds of waves, the latest adventure was to Kelly's wave pool.

“I am very happy because I am going to realize one of my dreams. With this, I can show people that as an adaptive surfer, I can surf that and any other wave in the world and that surfing has no limits. I want to show people that there are no limits,” Marimón told DUKE.
