Slater gave his talk at Expert XP, an investor fair in São Paulo, and went surfing at Wavegarden in the middle of the city with Gabriel Medina, as shown in photos on social media of the Brazilian and his filmmaker, Lucas Balbino.

There are no filmed waves of Kelly, but Medina is surfing at night with his soft top in the São Paulo night.

The one who revealed Slater's presence at the Wavegarden pool at Beyond The Club, in the heart of the capital of São Paulo, was Medina, who shared a photo saying: "Good to see you, bro."

The American, 11-time world champion, had been surfing at the Wavegarden testing center last year and wanted to return to the technology while passing through São Paulo, where he traveled to give a lecture at the aforementioned Expert XP.

The American said at the conference that for him these days, changing a diaper is more important than surfing a wave.

On the occasion, Medina filmmaker Lucas Balbino celebrated his birthday, so Slater joined in the celebration.
