On March 23, the iconic El Emir beach in Punta del Este lit up in the middle of the night, thanks to the full moon and the spotlights aimed at the waves that saw several of the best surfers in Uruguay competing.
Delfina Morosini won the best maneuver and best female wave, and Martín Ottado and Sebastián Olarte shared the respective awards in the male category.
It was much more than a surfing championship, there was skateboarding with Diego Suanes and Julieta González winning on a mini ramp, there was art and there was a DJ set with a party that lasted until late at night.
