Neither Griffin Colapinto nor Sebastian Zietz will be at Bells, they announced on social media yesterday and today. The former injured his knee again freesurfing and the latter is having his first child. In their place, the latter entered the trials as a guest for Xavier Huxtable and Reef Heazelwood.

The young Huxtable will be in series 3 against Filipe Toledo and Kelly Slater and Heazelwood will face Michel Bourez and Deivid Silva.

After a day where Bells was completely flat, waves are expected to pick up again today (Australian time).
