Haleiwa's final Challenger will reduce the number of participants

The challengers and the best stage of 2020 will qualify for the last date in the North Shore which will then make it to the elite of 2022

There will be 48 women and “80 men” participating in the fourth and final Haleiwa Challenger that will take place between November 26 and December 7, the WSL reported during its live broadcast of the US Open.

There is no information on the website about this, it is not determined who will be entering the Hawaiian tournament, although it is presumed that they will be the highest ranked players up to the Hossegor stage, which takes place between October 16 and 24.

This leaves the top three Challengers with 96 men and 64 women, and the Hawaiian team with a reduced space.

The WSL did report that three stages out of five will be added, and the best of the 2020 ranking of the QS competitors could be counted until March, when everything was cancelled due to the pandemic.
