Hendrickson said he was tricked by Rodrigues and the Off Channel
Minutes earlier that same day there was a heated encounter between the two, then, once live, the producer is heard allegedly instigating the pro to confront him so that he “gives him an audience”

In a Second interview with Stab Hawaiian Tanner Hendrickson said that Canal Off and Michael Rodrigues planned the meeting that ended in blows yesterday afternoon in Hawaii.
The Maui native says there was a heated exchange of words prior to the fight that took place in the Pipeline parking lot.
Hendrickson said he warned the Brazilian to stop bothering him or they would end up fighting. Minutes later, they met again and the confrontation took place.
On the other hand, when asked by Stab if the meeting could have been premeditated, the Hawaiian says that it makes sense, that “what is the point of filming someone climbing the stairs, they knew something was going to happen.”
On the other hand, the producers of the Canal Off programme, Gabriel Pastori and Marcelo Trekinho, can be heard encouraging a rapprochement: “Let's go to him, give us an audience” and they even joke: “We have a comedy programme with Michael Rodrigues” and everyone laughs.
Rodrigues even tells Canal Off that “they have no limits” and then says he is joking.
Going up the stairs they tell him that he doesn't stop, that he is aggressive, that he "doesn't stop", that he spoke badly of the Rio funds and that they don't understand why he doesn't stop.
Seconds later, the same people who allegedly instigated the fight leave the scene.
Canal Off, a company of the Brazilian communications giant Globo, issued a statement stating that what was seen during its broadcast “has nothing to do with the values or positioning” of the channel.
“We are a brand 100% dedicated to promoting good coexistence and respect among people from the most diverse cultures. We believe that exchange is essential to evolve, every day, as human beings. We bring the lessons we learn in different countries to our programs to encourage more people to live in harmony and with less physical or psychological violence. Therefore, we only have one request left: Peace,” the post concludes.
