Hennessy placed third in the Avoca QS 3000 and remains the leader of the rankings

Daniella Rosas placed fifth and catapulted herself to 21st place


Costa Rican surfer Brisa Hennessy placed third in the QS 3000 Sisstrevolution Central Coast Pro that ended today in Avoca Beach, Australia. The result gave her 1950 points, which added to the 5000 she earned from her victory in China at the beginning of the year, consolidated her position in first place in the QS ranking.

Hennessy lost in the semi-finals to South African Sara Baum, who went on to win the event by 14,67 to 13,64.

For her part, Peruvian Daniella Rosas obtained a respectable fifth place, lost in the quarterfinals to Cedar Leigh-Jones of Australia and guaranteed herself 1500 points that give her a good start to the year, in 21st place in the ranking.

The women's tour continues tomorrow, March 2, and runs until March 7 with the QS 5.000 Doyle Partners Women's Pro.
