High Performance Surfing Center was temporarily loaned due to the Covid-19 pandemic
The Lima 2019 surfing venue will now host health personnel

The Punta Rocas high-performance surfing center, the venue for surfing in Lima 2019, was temporarily ceded to the Peruvian Ministry of Health to host 130 health professionals who are taking Covid-19 tests, several Peruvian media reported.
In addition, the apartments in the Pan American Village, which were won by the Peruvian athletes who won medals, were temporarily given up for quarantine of people affected by the virus.
“We are supporting the country by temporarily providing our venues, the flagship glories of the best Pan American and Parapan American Games in history, to put them back at the service of the country. This time, we are joining in to fight against the coronavirus. The Legacy is available to all Peruvians,” he said. Alberto Valenzuela, Executive Director of the Special Legacy Project, as reported by various media outlets.
