Historic day in Mexico defined the 10 WSL finalists

Of these 10, two will be world champions in one of the strangest seasons in history

The WSL World Surfing Championship will be decided between Gabriel Medina, Filipe Toledo, Italo Ferreira, Conner Coffin and Morgan Cibilic in the men's division and Carissa Moore, Johanne Defay, Sally Fitzgibbons, Tatiana Weston Webb and Steph Gilmore in the women's division, the WSL reported during a marathon broadcast that took place at the CT in Mexico.

The cancellation of the Tahiti CT due to the number of cases there changed the whole panorama and that created a new unexpected show.

As Caroline Marks lost, as did Courtney Conlogue, Griffin Colapinto, Yago Dora, among others, the five finalists who will determine the world champion in Lower Trestles were those mentioned.

Mexico was the protagonist, with three days of uninterrupted perfect waves.

Nobody wanted to stop the event even though it seems that there is a swell on the way.

The saying “don’t leave when the waves are good” prevailed and the event continues with prospects of ending on Friday; four consecutive days of waves.

The semis were as follows:

Deivid Silva vs Leo Fioravanti
Jack Robinson vs Mateus Herdy

Ladies:
Malia Manuel vs Sally Fitzgibbons
Steph Gilmore vs Carissa Moore
